What does a fractional COO actually do?
Handles operational leadership: strategic planning, building systems, creating processes, designing team structure, implementing financial operations, managing projects, training team members. Everything a full-time COO would do—just part-time.
What’s the difference between a fractional COO and a consultant?
Consultant: tells you what to do, delivers report, leaves. Fractional COO: implements systems, trains team, stays as part of leadership, ongoing partnership.
What’s the difference between The Clarity Transformation and Clarity Operational Partnership?
Transformation: 12-week fixed program, $10K, for broken operations. Partnership: ongoing month-to-month, $2,750-$16K/month, for operations needing ongoing leadership.
Do I need The Clarity Transformation first?
Not necessarily. If operations are broken, start with Transformation. If operations mostly work, start with Partnership. Not sure? Book a Clarity Call.

How much does a fractional COO cost?
Transformation: $10,000 fixed (12 weeks). Partnership: $2,750-$16,000/month (4 tiers). Most clients invest $5,000-$9,000/month for ongoing support.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Transformation: 12 weeks minimum. Partnership: month-to-month, 30-day cancellation notice.
Can I adjust tier levels in Partnership?
Yes. Adjust monthly based on needs. Scale up during busy seasons, down during slow periods.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card, ACH/bank transfer, check (Transformation only). Partnership: recurring monthly billing.
Is fractional COO worth the investment?
Compare: Full-time COO = $180K-$250K/year. Fractional COO = $33K-$192K/year or $10K one-time. You get COO-level expertise for a fraction of the cost.

How does working with a fractional COO work?

What happens on the Clarity Call?
Free 30-minute conversation: what’s not working, what you’ve tried, your goals, revenue/team size, whether services fit. No sales pitch.
How long does onboarding take?
1-2 weeks from signing to kickoff. Fill out questionnaire, provide access, schedule kickoff, set up communication.
How often will we meet?
Transformation: weekly check-ins for 12 weeks. Partnership: weekly check-ins, monthly strategy (1-2x), quarterly planning, yearly goal-setting.
Do you work remotely or in person?
100% remote via Zoom. Based in Alton, Illinois, work with clients across United States.

What size business needs a fractional COO?
Sweet spot: $20K-$100K/month. Under $20K: focus on revenue first. Over $100K: need full-time COO.
What industries do you work with?

How much time do I need to commit?
Transformation: 6-10 hrs/week depending on phase. Partnership: 2-3 hrs/week minimum for meetings. Plus time to review work and give feedback.
What if I don’t have that much time?
Be honest: might not be the right time. Fractional COO work requires collaboration. Can’t fix operations you won’t engage with.
Will you work with my existing team?
Yes. Essential. Includes team interviews, group sessions, training. Systems only work if team understands and uses them.
What tools/software do you use?
Communication: Zoom, Slack/Email, Google Drive. For operations: whatever fits your business best. Tool-agnostic, not pushing expensive software.
What if it’s not working?
Transformation: address issues weekly, work through them. Partnership: 30-day cancellation notice, not trapped. Most issues are fixable with clear communication.

How long does it take to see results?
Quick wins: weeks 1-4 (identifying waste, fixing obvious problems). Real transformation: weeks 8-12 (systems implemented, team trained). Ongoing improvement: continuous.
What results can I expect?
Operational: clear roles, documented processes, working systems. Financial: better budget, identified savings, improved margins. Your time: less IN business, more ON strategy, can take vacation. Team: knows roles, better communication, clear onboarding.
Do you guarantee results?
Guarantee: deliver promised work, show up to meetings, honest feedback, proper training. Can’t guarantee: team will follow systems, you’ll implement recommendations, problems are 100% operational.
What happens after The Clarity Transformation ends?
Two options: Run independently (complete systems, trained team, everything documented) OR transition to Partnership (ongoing support, systems evolve, fractional COO stays).
CATEGORY 7: LOGISTICS & TECHNICAL
Can I start immediately?
Depends on capacity. Limit: 2 Transformation clients, 4 Partnership clients at a time. If capacity: start within 2-3 weeks. If at capacity: will tell you expected timeline.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Transformation: 12-week fixed, not cancellable mid-way. Partnership: 30-day notice, cancel anytime after, no early termination fees.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, if needed. Confidentiality is standard. Happy to sign formal NDA.
What if I have a specific question not answered here?
Three options: Email, book Clarity Call, LinkedIn message. Respond within 24-48 hours.
Do you offer refunds?
Transformation: no refunds once we start. Partnership: no refunds for current month, cancel with 30-day notice for future. This is professional services, not a product.
What timezone are you in?
Central Time (US) – Alton, Illinois. Work with clients across all US timezones.
Do you work with international clients?
Currently US-based clients only. Exception: US companies with international operations are fine.
